Make A Difference Day!

Make a Difference Day is in October each year. It was initiated in 1990, and is devoted to  helping  others by doing volunteer work in the community. 

On this day millions of Americans participate in community improvement projects. It takes the form of clean-up, fix-up, painting, and repair in neighborhoods and areas that need a little help.   

There are many non-profit organizations, nursing homes, etc that need help on this day as well. It doesn't matter who you help, what matters is participation.

If you have a son or daughter old enough to volunteer, think about how good that will look on future resumes as they approach college and beyond!
