Chances are you've already enjoyed some refreshing iced tea thisseason. If not, today is your day! Enjoy it plain, add a lemon, or sweeten to your preferred taste with sugar. Iced tea is a popular summer cooler for many, and it's good for you!
The origin of iced tea dates back to 1904. English team plantation owner Richard Blechynden set up a booth to sell hot tea on a very hot day at the St. Louis World's Fair. Nobody wanted the hot tea on the blistering day so he dumped tea over ice and served it cold. It was an immediate hit and is the first known use of iced tea.
