This week we’re celebrating women! In 1987, the U.S. started formally recognizing March as National Women’s History Month — a time to learn about and reflect on the many achievements of women.
Each year there is a theme and this year’s theme is ‘Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations.’ This theme celebrates women who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship, and leadership.
I am fortunate to have many amazing leaders, mentors, and educators in my life. For one, Keller Williams Realty Boise is led by women!
First, our brilliant, straightforward, and generous founder and co-owner, Erica Hill. Second, Stacie States, co-owner and CEO, who chose a life of extraordinary leadership, particularly focused on helping women succeed, after her mother suffered a life-altering stroke during Stacie’s childhood. Finally, Catharine Quinn, our incredibly smart, talented, and compassionate broker and President. These inspiring women lead our company with integrity and heart!
Beyond the leaders and educators at work, my family has them too! My sister-in-law, Jenny Giese, was an amazing art and preschool teacher who had a lifelong impact on her students and the children for whom she was a nanny. And my sister, Gina Green, in addition to raising two incredible daughters, is a terrific special education teacher at Jefferson Elementary in Boise, where she works with students with learning differences to provide additional support and specially designed instruction.
This week, take a moment to appreciate the fantastic women leaders and educators in your life!
Moving forward together!
