This week we’re celebrating National Tell a Joke Day! Sunday, August 16 is a day to share smiles, practice comedic timing, and enjoy the health benefits of lau
ghter.
Life can be stressful and humor can brighten someone’s day. For example, when I checked out at the Boise Co-op this evening, the clerk asked, “What do you call a cow with no legs?” I thought hard for 30 seconds and said I didn’t know. He said, “It doesn’t matter because it won’t come anyway!” 😂
Did it make you laugh? Even though it’s a silly joke, it made me laugh and it felt great. You may have heard that children laugh as many as 300 times a day, compared with only about 17 times for adults. While those exact numbers are hard to verify, research does confirm we tend to laugh less as we get older.
Laughter is so good for us. It can reduce stress, relax our muscles, improve circulation, release feel-good endorphins, and may even help relieve pain and support our immune system!
And for those of us in real estate, keeping a sense of humor is pretty important. The situations we find ourselves in can be surprising, strange, and occasionally downright funny. If you ever want to have a good laugh, just ask a realtor about something funny that happened on the job!
With laughter,
Jill & Team
P.S. Real estate isn’t always funny… but we’ve collected enough stories over the years to prove that it can be! 😂 Need to talk houses? Give us a call at (208) 327-2127.
