Alright, it’s time to wrap up this little love letter to Boise! We’ve shared many of the reasons we’re proud to call this city home. And while Part 3 won’t cover everything — there’s just so much to love — we’re excited to highlight even more of what makes Boise such a special place!
Sunshine & Seasons
Weather anywhere sparks strong opinions. For many residents though, it’s a major perk of living in Boise. You can usually count on sunshine and blue skies — whether it's a crisp winter day or a warm summer afternoon. While summers can get hot, the city offers plenty of ways to cool off, from floating the Boise River to swimming in nearby ponds and reservoirs. Spring and fall are especially pleasant and winters tend to be mild, rounding out a climate that many consider one of Boise’s best features!
A Bike-Friendly Lifestyle
Boise supports a growing bike culture with expanding infrastructure and dedicated bike lanes. The area also offers over 180 miles of nearby biking trails, making it a haven for mountain bikers. Road biking is popular too — especially in summer, when crowds gather downtown for the thrilling Twilight Criterium race!
Location, Location, Location
Boise’s strategic location makes it a gateway to some of the West’s best recreation — from river rafting to mountain escapes. Outdoor getaways like Sun Valley, McCall, Stanley, and even Yellowstone National Park are also within a day's drive. Within an 8-hour drive, you can reach vibrant cities like Salt Lake City, Portland, and Seattle. Whether you’re heading to the coast, the mountains, or another metro area, Boise serves as a convenient hub for work or play.
Safe Streets, Strong Community
Boise consistently ranks as one of the safest mid-sized cities in the West, with crime rates significantly below the national average. Residents often cite the community’s friendly, neighborly feel as one of the reasons they feel secure here.
Of course, we know this is just the tip of the iceberg — everyone has their own reasons for loving Boise. What are yours? We’d love to hear what makes this city feel like home to you. Just reply to this email and let us know!
