This week around the office we’re thinking about giving where you live!
A few weeks ago we took part in the annual Keller Williams Realty RED Day. Each May 14th, KW associates around the world take a day away from their businesses to contribute their time and energy to giving back to their local communities.
And this year’s Boise project was a big one! We spent the day with 80 of our colleagues at Interfaith Sanctuary Shelter
Home, creating brighter, more playful outdoor spaces for the families and children who spend time there. We turned a dull, cinder-block-enclosed parking lot and drainage area into a colorful wonderland of relaxation, play, and hope! It’s amazing what a small group of people with the right sponsors, materials, supplies, and energy can do in a short amount of time.
RED Day is an inspiring reminder that giving back doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it looks like painting a flower on asphalt, assembling a wiggle car, sanding a picnic table, washing brushes, hauling supplies, or simply jumping in wherever help is needed.
There are so many organizations doing important work in our community that there is never a shortage of opportunities to give back. Even a few hours of your time can make a real difference!
Warmly,
Jill & Team
