Although it took a few attempts to get here, spring has definitely sprung in Boise! And along with the flowers and trees, the people of Boise are blooming also. Everyone is out-and-about, taking advantage of the numerous activities in and around town.

It never ceases to amaze us how busy our city is when winter leaves and the nice weather arrives. Whether it’s at the Boise Farmer's Market, Camel’s Back Park, or just hanging out on patios at coffee shops and restaurants, folks are enjoying the weather and having a good time. Even when we have the occasional spring showers!

This is also the time of year when people start planning weekend getaways, summer vacations, and daily in-town activities. There is certainly no shortage of things to do.

One of our favorite things about Boise is how many activities you can do that are free or very inexpensive.

It’s also one of the reasons so many people are making a move here! Below are a few of our favorite things that won't break this season’s budget.

• Hang out on 8th Street downtown and people watch
• Climb the hill at Camel's Back Park
• Enjoy coffee or brunch on 13th Street in Hyde Park
• Bike or hike the Ridge-to-Rivers trail system
• Check out one of the Saturday markets
• Take a stroll on the Boise Greenbelt
